I feel like he got TOO much hype like with the publicity he gets, we expect something he is not or maybe he just hasnt gotten there yet. But when you placed in certain positions, you have no choice but to step up to the plate. Clearly he is not. Dont get me wrong his flow and lyrics are pretty sick and I am fan of his music but something is definitely lacking. I was so disappointed when I saw the video. He couldve developed a better concept to match the song. I feel like they just told him what the concept for the video and he was like o ok...no objection like that doesnt match the lyrics to my song. Thats why I dont watch videso because it sometimes ruins the song for me. I just hope his album lives up to the popularity his mixtape has brought him. I totally agree with you. So I saw the video for the first time earlier today, so I was sooo glad that you decided to blog about it. Personally, I feel like I must have been "out to lunch" when the whole hiphop/rnb world decided to crown Drake as the next biggest thing. Anyways...so I decided to listen to some songs, and of course "Best I Ever Had" is getting a lot of airplay, so I was slowly but surely starting to like Drake a little more everyday BUTTTTTT....all of that came to a screeching halt when I saw that video this morning. Like seriously? It was ridiculous and just gross. To be such a HYPED UP rapper/singer and to release that as your first official video. The small ounce of respect I had for him is now GONE...for some reason I thought that he would be different. Maybe I just hoped that he would be different, since he was so talked about (HYPED UP) and because of all the. In my opinion, another one bites the dust.
