So Drake was at SUNY Purchase a few weeks ago…I actually wanted to go, but couldn’t make it. Anyways, I watched the videos of the performance and I got to thinkin bout some things.
Now if you read the blog, you knowwww I love Drake.
But uh…his wheelchair Jimmy swag he’s been doin some stuff lately that has roused some questions.
Maybe his live performance isn’t really that hot? Maybe he’s trying to hard? Not hard enough? I’m not quite sure what it is, but somethin just feels off….

Note the Kanye stanky arm. Note the finger pointing. Note the unnecessary pelvic thrust. Note the crotch holding. Not grabbing, but holding.

I hate to say it…
But doesn’t he seem a little…whack? Seems like he’s being wheelchair Jimmy acting.
I dunno…maybe I hold him to too high of a standard. Maybe I want him to be perfect. But this interview combined with him freestylin off his Blackberry last week just left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Maybe I’m buggin…but does anybody feel me tho?

Yea, i feel u.. its a mix of expecting so much from him, things getting to his head, and him blowing up way too quick i think thats making us feel this way, he blew up so fast and i feel like he might burn out instead of slowly coming into the lime light. If you heard the hype about him in NYC with all the DJ love, they’ve just hyped him up so much that we want him to be so perfect. Fact is he’s not and may never be. I just hope that he can develop some freestyle skills, cuz that blackberry deal was WEAK. I still have lots of hope for him tho.
